his character is a lot more cautious in the novel, but he still feels a strong attachment to this girl so he continues helping her from a distance and does check-ins with her face to face from time to time.. also she happens to be a fairly important character near the latter part of the story when he has major power creep and gets ready to face off the goddess's forces for real

The didn't even mention how Mc was ok with Tomoe killing humans and Mio eating the bodies, atleast the manga mentioned the issue and how indifferent he is and how peaceful his world is but he is ok with them killing.

Mild Spoiler but nothing about the main story: There's only one thing that really bothers me in this anime and its Makoto's constant mistreatment/abuse of Tomoe. She's super sweet and adores him. It's really unnecessary and took this show from a 9 or 10 down to a 7 for me.

It's just like the MC of Arifureta treated bunny girl all the time.

Yeah they kind of upped it in the anime whereas in the manga he's more tame with her but disciplines her when she goes overboard.

i don't think it was quite necessary to send BOTH Tomoe and Mio on that rescue mission. perhaps if just ONE had done it the ENTIRE town (except for their inn) would not have experienced annihilation. :> i'm unsure of the exact size of that town... but those two ladies released enough destructive power... in my estimation... to come close to equaling the full conventional gravity bomb loadout of TWO B-52 bombers.
